The Circuit Clerk is not the same office as the County Clerk and is not the same office as the Recorder of Deeds. The Recorder of Deeds handles marriage licenses and recorded instruments.

How to Request a Certified Copy

Certified court copies are used when a plain docket printout is not enough. Divorce decrees, judgments, probate letters, orders, dispositions, and case-file documents may need certification for employers, licensing bodies, benefits offices, title companies, schools, or another court. The research did not locate a Randolph County online certified-copy order form, so the practical route is to identify the record in Case.net when possible and then contact the Circuit Clerk.

1. Search Missouri Case.net by case number or litigant name to identify the court, case number, party names, and document needed.
2. Decide whether a plain copy, certified copy, or case-status confirmation is needed. Ask the receiving agency if uncertain.
3. Contact the Circuit Clerk with the case number, party names, document type, date range, and copy format requested.
4. Ask for current copy fees, certification fees, payment methods, pickup options, mailing options, and whether the record is restricted.
5. If the case is sealed, expunged, juvenile, adoption-related, or otherwise confidential, ask what court order or statutory authority is required before access can be considered.

No countywide web records request form was located in the research. Missouri Sunshine Law guidance says written requests are preferred even when no special format is required, because a written request documents what was asked for and when. For court files, the request should be directed to the Circuit Clerk and should be specific enough to identify the case and copy type.

Randolph County Circuit Clerk Fees

The research captured marriage-license and Recorder copy fees, but it did not capture a Circuit Clerk court-copy fee schedule, civil filing fee schedule, or certified court-copy fee amount. The Missouri Bar resource cited in the research notes that remote public access to public case documents expanded beginning July 1, 2023, subject to redaction and confidentiality limits.

For certified copies, older records, sealed or restricted questions, and payment details, contact the office directly before sending money or assuming a record is public.
